About me

For over 30 years, I've been privileged to walk alongside children, adolescents, and families across New York City's diverse school communities. From the laughter-filled energy of elementary playgrounds to the bustling hallways of middle schools and the academic pressures of high school classrooms, I have witnessed firsthand the unique challenges and triumphs that shape young lives at each stage. This experience has instilled within me a deep understanding of the complexities facing NYC students and families, allowing me to develop impactful strategies to help them navigate those challenges and flourish within their unique school environments.

This journey fueled a profound purpose within me to expand my support beyond students and families, empowering all members of the school community, including educators and counselors. From the very beginning, my core mission has been to inspire and teach individuals of all ages to cultivate well-being. This dedication continues to guide my work, even as I have transitioned to a private practice. I'm particularly driven about instilling social-emotional learning (SEL) skills in individuals of all ages. These skills help them navigate challenges like anxiety, build positive self-image, and develop healthy coping mechanisms, especially in the ever-present world of social media. For years, I've served as a mentor for counselors and conducted trainings in mindfulness-based approaches within the District 75 Department of Special Education, equipping them with practical tools and evidence-based strategies to achieve positive results with their students.

Understanding the profound impact of our fundamental need for security, connection, and well-being fuels my deep passion to support individuals, children and adolescents on their path to personal growth. This journey necessarily involves conquering anxieties, navigating life's challenges, including family dynamics, the pressures of social media, and cultivating genuine well-being. This passion translates into a unique, holistic approach that delves into alternative and self-care techniques alongside seeking individual support, parenting guidance, or building stronger relationships. At its core, it creates a warm and supportive space for growth and transformation, incorporating essential elements like mindful nourishment, deep breathing exercises, movement that connects, and restorative sleep.
